Witty irony ! Praiseworthy as his overthrow was, there seemed to be a lot of guys acting out machissmo fantasies brandishing machine-guns. Many looked and behaved like over-grown school-kids with their guns on T.V. footage. The 'Lord of the Flies' mentality inevitably led to a savage murder when in fact Gadaffi needed to be kept alive to answer many, many questions. Too late now.
Killing someone, even an evil man like Gaddafi, when he's begging for mercy is revenge of the most sour kind. Useless, cruel and ultimately self-defeating.
