No, it won't happen. But Qantas International (as opposed to the domestic arm of their business) isn't profitable, and so it is likely that they will move most of the jobs offshore to Asia, cut everyone's pay and (further) destroy the airline's reputation. I'd rather the government subsidise it; it is our national carrier after all. It's something of a symbol of the country.

Is this a real possibility to resolve the strike? It does seem a franchise which has strong popular Australian prestige attached to it.
